Imparja Television has a nationally acclaimed commercial production unit that has delivered successful outcomes to all clients. We have built the quality of our commercial service on all levels and have developed a creative team of producers, copywriters, graphic artists and designers. Our editors have in recent times achieved remarkable benchmarks and are comparable to eastern seaboard agencies.

Our Producer is a local indigenous man who has worked extensively with CAAMA productions on many Nganampa Anwernekenhe documentaries. He is experienced in cutting to vision with Aboriginal languages and has worked in indigenous communities across the Territory, gaining excellent insight into many facets of cultural issues and how they relate to broadcast productions.

While we are experts in television, we are also able to deliver advertising, promotional and social outcomes across all media forms. As a Territory- based team, we combine many perspectives to achieve this.

We have a very broad client base, built on years of working closely with clients to deliver a product that exceeds their expectations.

Commercial Production Equipment

We shoot in JVC’s digital D9 format and use JVC-made D9 cassettes. This offers higher quality colour reproduction and clarity without the digital artifacts of DV or the analogue inconsistencies of BetaSP. We have a fully portable lighting rig, comprising Dedolight feature spots and Arri redheads and 2K lights. We use boom-mounted Sennheiser shotgun mics for location recording.

For editing we use an uncompressed 8bit codec that allows us to retain high-quality image information and causes no degradation or generational loss during the editing process. Our data rates for video comprise around ten times the video information of a compressed DV or DVCAM stream used by other production houses. Our 1.2 terrabyte fibre-channel editing drive is fully RAID protected - meaning that drive loss or project loss is impossible. We have the safest and highest quality editing systems for broadcast in the Territory.

Being part of a television station, we can master our video to all popular video formats, including Digital Betacam, BetaSP, DVCAM, or even one-inch.
