About Cold Case

Detective Lilly Rush (Morris) re-opens dormant, unsolved homicides that happened years or even decades ago. Previously, Rush had used her instinctive understanding of the criminal mind to crack current murder cases. Now, this experienced detective faces new challenges, interrogating witnesses to old crimes, making use of new science to find fresh clues to cases thought unsolvable. At the same time, she is prepared for consequences, namely that her work will open old wounds and lead suspects to commit new crimes.

When Rush hits a dead end, she seeks advice from her respected mentor Lieutenant John Stillman (Finn) and Detective Will Jeffries (Barry), who's been around long enough to serve as her link to the past. Also on the team are: Detective Nick Vera (Ratchford), a tough cop who's considered the go-to-guy for getting a confession; Detective Scotty Valens (Pino), Rush's confident and strong-willed partner; and Detective Kat Miller (Thoms), a streetwise young narcotics detective who joined the squad after helping solve a 1973 case. Rush makes it her business to ensure that no victim is ever forgotten.
